Health Promotion 

We offer a wide range of medical services and health promotion clinics including:- 

• Health check upon joining a doctor’s list for the first time
• Immunisations and Vaccinations
• Maternity care
• Contraception
• Minor surgery
• Flu and Pneumococcal vaccinations
• District Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors are attached to the practice for shared care.

Health Checks

The Practice Nurse will see patients for regular health checks including diet and exercise advice, smoking cessation and general health care.

• Auto Blood pressure check – no appointment needed. 

Family Planning 

Advice on family planning is available from the Doctor.  A contraception service is provided.

Cervical Smears

Smears are recommended for women aged 25 – 65 who have not had a hysterectomy. 

The Practice Nurse carries out this test. A letter of invitation will be sent to you when your next smear is due.  If you are unable to attend on the date given, please ring to make an alternative appointment.
